Catalyst

Singer, guitarist, and song writer Craig Nicholson is the visionary behind Catalyst.
He started the band in the late '80’s and has been entertaining crowds with his soulful voice, mesmerizing guitar playing, and thought-provoking lyrics and song writing ever since. Craig is a true showman, and he never disappoints. He brings his high energy, and amazing presence to each and every Catalyst show.

Bassist, Rick Ask has been playing bass since he joined a local band back in the early '80’s. Heavily exaggerating his skill set or the fact that he didn’t own a bass guitar didn’t discourage him. With an eclectic musical base including jazz, funk, rock (classic, metal, progressive, current), and every genre in between. He quickly fell in love with the instrument and created his own unique playing style. Since then, he has never looked back. 

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Jack Wolff’s early music influences ranged from Motown to hard rock. Jack started playing the drums at a young age. Since moving to Seattle in the late ‘80’s, Jack has played in blues-rock, original, and cover bands before joining Catalyst. Jack’s solid, versatile playing continues to drive the band’s sound.
